San Diego has a lot of opportunities for students considering Biology for a degree and/or work. Summer internships and college credit are available and are a good way to get a better feel for the subject and find out if Biology is really right for you. Pay attention to deadlines. Letters of Recommendation

Ask early. Teachers don't like being asked the night before, or even two nights before, deadline. You should provide the teacher with all the information regarding the opportunity: purpose, deadlines, organization name, important qualities or characteristics and so on. The easier you make it for a teacher to write a letter of recommendation, the more likely you will get one.
